I'm Destiny Washington, an advocate for students,  a mindful yogi, and a lifelong learner who appreciates experiencing cultures around the world. From the full circle moment of becoming a champion for first-generation college goers, I've dedicated my career to empowering students to excel, contrary to the social and economic systemic barriers they may face.
 

I'm a cultural educator and reformist eager to collaborate with professionals and leaders who recognize the inherent disparities within our education system and those committed to providing career and life exposure for students' betterment.

I received a bachelor's in Communication from The University of Tennessee and a master's in Higher Education Administration from Florida International University- in concert with my extensive background in student access and success, I built The Gold Horizon to implement student-focused, high-impact programming driven by research evidence and scholarly theory. Through data activism, community engagement, and student empowerment, The Gold Horizon will contribute to a rich and inclusive community of learners.
